Course Objectives:
On completion of the course, the learner will be able to:
demonstrate an understanding of major trends and legislation affecting career and technical education,
explain how special needs populations are addressed in past and present legislation,
identify major changes in Indiana policies and legislation as career and technical education is concerned,
list the Indiana licensing requirements for both a standard vocational license and an Occupational Specialist I, II, or II license,
accurately discuss the major trends of the history of career and technical education from the earliest form to the beginning of the century,
and explain the basis of primary educational philosophies and theories and identify some of the historic proponents of each.
